To avoid damaging the oil seal or connection of the reducer, the exhaust port cover should be replaced if there is a blockage in the position of the planetary reducer before use to ensure that the gas inside the gearbox is discharged.
When planetary reducers work under high temperature conditions or operate for a long time, the internal gear meshing friction also generates a lot of heat energy, which can reach around 8 degrees Celsius at high temperatures. Part of the generated heat energy is transferred to the lubricating oil and part is transferred to the air for heat dissipation. The interior of the planetary reducer is a well sealed space. When lubricating oil and air absorb heat, they will expand and the internal pressure will increase, exerting external force on the sealing oil seal of the reducer, causing the seal oil seal of the reducer to malfunction. The reducer may leak oil or damage the motor through the motor oil seal. In severe cases, due to excessive leakage of lubricating oil, effective lubrication cannot be guaranteed internally, resulting in dry wear of the gear rolling bearing of the reducer, excessive temperature rise, and scrapping of the gear bearing, seriously affecting the service life of the equipment.
Therefore, before the normal use of the planetary reducer, an exhaust cap should be assembled at a higher position to balance the internal and external pressure and prevent excessive internal pressure and oil seal failure. It should be noted that under different conditions, different assembly methods and types of ventilation caps have different requirements. Sometimes, the assembly method or the type of ventilation cap selected may be incorrect, and the ventilation cap often sprays oil.
