How to maintain the reducer
1. Transmission inspection The reducer shall be inspected and repaired regularly. Effective measures must be taken in case of scratches, gluing and significant wear. The spare parts must be manufactured according to the standards, and the updated spare parts can be officially used only after running in and load commissioning.
2. The oil quantity and temperature shall be checked frequently. If the oil level of the reducer is lower than the lower scale mark of the vernier, oil shall be replenished in time. Pay attention to the change of oil pressure for circulating oil lubrication. When the oil pressure drops significantly, check and clean the oil filter screen.
3. Heat dissipation inspection. In order to make the reducer easy to dissipate heat, its external surface should be kept clean and the vent hole should not be blocked. If the temperature of the box is too high, check whether the oil level is too high, whether the surrounding heat dissipation condition is bad, and whether it is caused by aging oil, insufficient cooling water, and poor cooling effect due to scaling in the cooling coil.
4. Oil leakage inspection. If the high-speed shaft leaks oil, check whether the oil level is too high. If the shaft seal leaks oil due to aging or wear, appropriate grease can be injected through the grease fitting on the cover. If the oil leakage is serious, the user should replace the oil seal timely.
Important note: After the reducer has operated for 8 hours, the small area of saturated oil near the seal is non permeable, the area of saturated oil extends to the base is permeable, and the oil accumulated on the foundation is leaking.
5. The rotating part of the safety protection reducer with leakage shall be provided with a protective shield, and shall be grounded when connected to the motor or other electrical equipment.
Important note: Do not remove the test lens cover when the reducer is running to avoid personal injury caused by splashing of high-temperature gear oil.
6. Change the oil. In normal operation, due to the continuous operation of the surface, metal particles inevitably enter the engine oil. These dirts will shorten the life of the bearing and lead to the early scrapping of the gear unit, so it is necessary to replace the oil frequently for maintenance.
7. System management. The user shall have reasonable use and maintenance rules and regulations, and carefully record the operation of the reducer and the problems found in the inspection.
