What is the difference between a worm gear reducer and a gear reducer?

Publish Time: 2023-04-07 Origin: site

I believe everyone knows that reducers have different functions according to different applications. Do you know the difference between worm gear reducers and gear reducers?

1. Worm gear reducers are mainly engaged in cross axis transmission (90 degrees), while gear reducers are generally engaged in parallel axis transmission and cross axis transmission;

The transmission ratio of a worm gear reducer is generally much larger than that of a gear reducer. For manufacturers of servo planetary reducers, worm gear drives are generally self-locking, while gear reducers are generally not.

In general, the operating temperature of the lubricating oil in a cycloidal gear reducer should not exceed 90. So, what heat dissipation method can be used when the temperature of the cycloidal gear reducer is high? Dongguan Pratt Transmission Equipment Co., Ltd. will introduce it to you.

1. Fan cooling: if the Free cooling of the individual box can not meet the requirements, the fan can be used for cooling;

2. Free cooling: when the general box can not meet the heat dissipation requirements, heat dissipation fins can be added outside the box, and the planetary reducer and heat dissipation fins of the industrial robot should be set to make the air circulate naturally;

3. Water cooling: The oil pool of the gearbox is equipped with a serpentine water pipe, usually made of copper or brass. The pipe contains cooling water to remove some of the air heat from the lubricating oil.

The servo motor planetary reducer is driven by 2k-h (ngw) planetary gears arranged in a negative sign. When the high-speed shaft is decelerated by an electric motor and powered by a hard tooth surface, the nutation sun wheel reverses, the nutation planet wheel flips, and the inner gear ring is fixed, driving the planet carrier to perform output motion.
